Awesome. I always like your clips and videos too, so make sure you post those!!! :)

Man that's the ugliest place for a knob   He couldn't have put it to the left of the standby?

I bet it sounds killer though.

The existing circuit layout largely dictates where "extra" things like this can be placed. Putting that particular potentiometer (and/or extra circuitry attached, if it exists) near the standby/power switches would probably add a lot of noise and possibly also feedback. The extra wire length alone might introduce an unwanted aspect to the sound (signal degradation and/or noise) depending on the impedance and sensitivity of that part of the circuit.

Yeah makes sense. I was just giving Reza crap since I'm jealous of All his awesome gadgets.

Definitely would like to hear some clips of this.

Want to give him crap about something? How about this:

Getting a mod done and then the first thing he tells others is that it's a "one of a kind", means he probably got the mod done arbitrarily so that he could brag it's a "one of a kind". :D

I'm just kidding, Reza...sort of... :)

Just tell Dave you want the BAM and you'll be all set.

I don't want Dave to give me a BAM! I don't even know what that means but two of those letters frighten me, and knowing the history of his amp names, I'd wear a chastity belt around him... :)

Don't ever tell another man that you want the bam.

Some extra juice is borderline enough. :emofag: :grim:

Seriously though I bet this thing rips. It already had enough gain from what I've heard via YouTube so I'm wondering what this does.

Hey Dave, I want you to give me the BAM in my BROWN EYE.

With that info and the fact that it is between treble and master (which are often at essentially same point in circuit) then we have plenty of info to speculate away.
;)

Jose set the mod-naming bar pretty high with Pussy Trimmer (but that is less juice IIRC).
Brown eye reamer mod, when your brown eye needs to be just bit bigger.

Is it essentially out of circuit at one extreme or other?

funny comments in this thread. Maybe Dave will chime in on what he did to the amp, I don't know. But I do know it sound way more muscular, much more clarity and punch than stock 2016 (where it was before). There is also now this fantastic "Knock" to palm mutes that really defines the chunk point. I think there is a tad LESS gain than before but not enough to notice.

I played it for 4 hours in a session yesterday, full band volume setting and it was just a constant grin. He took an incredible sounding amp and made it more aggressive and punchier without adding any fizz or extra saturation.

also, the knob is a second master volume for the 3rd channel. this was when i switch to that channel for my leads or for exaggerated band hits or whenever I actually need a huge bump , its in there now.

I was going to the third channel for leads but the compression and extra gain would always make it sound a little smaller than the rhythm channel...so In comes the 2nd master. NOW when i hit that lead button on my foot controller, I am way up and in front with all the juicy goodness of the HBE magic.

Whats super fun is you can run the regular BE channel with the volume MUCH lower and use it for a pre staging bridge or pre chorus section and then BAM hit the switch and go straight to HBE channel at WHATEVER volume you want.

I think its a key thing to have on this amp. :)

As for the mod, like I said. Dave might have to jump in to describe in detail what he may have done. But I will say its super aggressive and less muddy in the low mids now. When you turn up it really shines...
Ok. Going back to play it some more. Enjoy your sunday!

I might put up a camera and do a quick vid if everyone sends me a dollar via paypal :)

Seems like a pretty killer mod. I'll give you $1 for a little Bam in the brown eye.
