Debating on trying a clean boost, eq, and possibly just a wah pedal to make those kids jump out in the mix when it’s lead time. As I run a delay in the loop, I really want something in the front of the amp with a volume boost.
Yeah. The only reason I went for it is because i read about all the other volume pedals breaking and having to replace shit. I can't remember if this one works off a magnet or lazer or what, but great reviews
Thanks everyone! Lots of options. I appreciate them. Spent some time with my amp tonight at rehersal. Not sure if I mentioned in the post it’s a Bogner Atma. Technically I have a lead booster ready in channel 3, as it has a shared EQ with channel 2. My goal was to set up the channels as a lower gain/higher gain deal, and boost both for leads. I’ve never been a boost/distortion guy..yup..THAT guy…Want my dirt from the amp without pedals… but if someone had posted in another thread it really doesn’t matter how you get it! Good tone is good tone. So my plan is keeping what I have now..clean/dirty/lead, and adding a Bogner XTC Blue pedal to use on the clean channel as a smoother, more classic rock dirt sound.
Is this the active type wah where you don't have to depress all the way to activate? Seems like that would be the way to go in a loop especially. I had volume pedal once but never tried it in the loop. Obviously, an EQ in the loop is a very powerful tool. I have an MX10 in my loop and had the Dano 6 band before that.

Yeah, as long as it's plugged in it is on, and moving the treadle at all changes the volume. So with the minimum volume knob, you set it to where heel down is your rhythm tone, and toe down is lead boost
