What are you using for a volume boost in the loop?

I need something for a few dbs of boost for leads. I was using a 10-band EQ but got tired of the sliders shifting when transporting the board around. I could get a simple Micro Amp but looking to see what's out there that is more interesting or does something I didn't know I needed. I was considering the Empress Buffer Plus since it has a nice buffer, but I have two nice delay and reverb pedals in the loop that have their own buffer already, so a buffer really isn't needed. Whatcha got?
 
Take a small plastic sheet and measure and cut out the sliders, then just overlay it onto your 10 band eq when traveling with your board. Wham bam.
 
Or get a smaller eq like the Boss GE7 Eq, and just use the volume slider. What I have used off and on for years. Micro Amp works fine as does the MXR CAE Boost/Line Driver.
 
I use a Tech 21 Boost DLA in my loop. Kills 2 birds
 
when i used to have something for this, it was the plain jane MXR micro amp reissue. did the job, no more, no less without spending an arm and a leg on something fancy or rare.
 
Tc electronic distortion booster + linedriver,( original version) set to boost...it actually makes everything sound better besides the vol boost.
Honorable mention to the xotic rc booster
 
There used to be a guy on here that made affordable rhythm cut pedals. His name was Solo Solutions. Just a simple resistor in a pedal. Works great I wonder why that option isn’t more popular. Why don’t any bug companies make this kind of thing?
 
I've been using a TC Spark mini for a volume boost. Cheap and works well. I put it in a true bypass loop with my DD3 so both come on when I turn the loop on, but I normally run my rhythm tone pretty dry.
 
I’m also using a TC Spark mini. I leave the loop on and just kick on the spark for solo boosts.
 
Volume pedal. Dial it back normally, step on it when you need a boost.

(Plus then you can use it for swells and generally getting your levels right w/o having to take your hands of the guitar.)
 
Can you not just patch the send / return with a single patch cord, then use the return volume higher than master vol for volume lead boost?

Or am I missing something?

I tried the EP, and it worked well also, though definitely changed the tone some even on the non vintage setting. It's a good choice depending on if you want it to be transparent or not.
 
Ep booster stays on all the time, RC booster for leads/split coil volume equality.

One I/O is in front of my amp, and the second is in my loop. Create a preset that only boosts in the second I/O. It has both a volume and gain knob you can use depending upon what kind of boost you're trying to do (which also means you can boost AND have an intricate EQ at the same time).
