Back from the dead!
So much awesomeness in this thread, it'd be a shame to let it rot in the archives.
Two more to add to the list. My favorite in my lineup so far, 2013 Studio (left) and 2014 Traditional (Right)
Love the Studio for the versatility it offers with factory coil splitting options (totally noiseless, by the way!) which allows you to tap into (pun intended) a strat vibe with both the bridge and neck pups tapped in the middle position, minus the springy tremolo response to your attack, vintage hot LP untapped in the bridge position and Tele territory with a tapped bridge. Fast 60's neck. Easy solder-less pickup installation. Great player, especially when you slap some thick-ass strings on there. The inherent honkey ring GHS Boomers offer puts you that much closer to Tele Tones in split bridge position. Abundant smiley factors ensue when de-tuned in this mode.
The 2014 Traditional is the first LP
I feel Gibson got right in a LONG time, minus the 120th Anniversary banner on the 12th fret
But it's a solid chunk with a phat ass '59 neck that's butter smooth, super comfortable and is impossible to play without smiling like an idiot. I really feel like this one reduces the suck in my playing.
