What Brand Of KT77's To Use In My Mesa Tremoverb Head?

Hey guys was wanting to know what is a good brand of KT77's to use in my Mesa Tremoverb head? I have ordered from some time back from Bob @ Eurotubes the JJ 6L6GC matched quads and the preamp set but all he carries is JJ. Is the JJ KT77's a good choice or are there other good brands as well, thanks!

Plus one on this. These tubes have to tested very specifically and the above vendor matched mine up perfect after I returned two quads to two different dealers who swore they were matched. I told them they have to be tested at 500volts to EL34 specs or they will be way off in an EL34 amp which they were.

Yea cause with the tremoverb when using the KT77's you just switch the bias select on the back to EL34 and not have to take it to a tech right?
 
I also just seen that Ruby tubes has the KT77CZ's too, any word on those?
 
I tried gold lion & JJ KT77's in the JVM410H i used to own when they first came out.
MUCH prefer the gold lions, they sounded much more detailed and clearer, and the JJ's failed on me after 3 months.

Can't speak for a mesa but hopefully this gives you some insight.
 
Love JJs in mine. In some amps they can sound a bit dark, but perfect in Mesas IMO.
 
I think I'm gonna order a matched quad of JJ KT77's from Bob @ Eurotubes pretty soon unless someone on here has a used quad from a mesa dual rectifier. Currently the only preamp tubes I have for my Tremoverb are all Mesa 12ax7's and 1 ARS 12ax7 cause one of the Mesa preamp tubes was microphonic. Will my tremoverb sound good with the JJ KT77's and the Mesa preamp tubes or should I look into getting all different preamp tubes?
 
Just found out about the Sovtek 6L6WXT+ power amp tubes and was reading that a lot of guys were using those for drop tuned metal in their dual and triple rectifiers so I might go ahead and try the Sovtek 6L6WXT+ tubes first.
