I know good brands for when it comes to making guitar cables, or rack cables... (Mogami 2524, canare, george lynch, ect..) but what is the "standard" cable to buy in bulk to make speaker cables for power amp, amp to cabinet connections? I appreciate all opinions.

Thanks, Chad

I've been using the same few Monster runs for several years and they sound great and haven't given me any problems yet.

I've been pleased with Live Wires.
They're not the most expensive cables out there, but they're rugged and hold up well to live abuse.

The lifetime warranty doesn't hurt, either.

Monster is alright, but I have never a/b tested between cables to tell a difference myself. Mogami seems to be what I lean to, but have been torn weather to go with canare, or george lynch cables too... so who uses mogami cab to amp speaker cables? What line of mogami cable is the speaker cable made from?

I generally use pro-co speaker cable or speaker cables made by me with Dayton PA wire.

I use one made by Lava Cables. Actually all my guitar cables are Lava and I wired my board with his kit. He makes great stuff.

I use monster for speaker, and either Mogami or Planet waves for signal.

Planet waves and a home made one friend did for me. Monster plugs, and PA cable.

Can`t really hear much of a difference, but it`s always good to carry a spare.

Amp to speaker I use a Mogami. I never a/b'd and have no reason to change. Effects cables I use Mogami Gold and guitar to amp Lava. Just get a good quality cable and be done with it. Guitar to amp is probably the most important.

I use Voodoo Amps 50/50 instrument and speaker cables.
