What brand of strings are you using these days?

Electric are D'Addario XL Nickel Wound custom sets:
Drop B: .0115, .017, .020p, .036, .046, .059
Drop A#: .013, .018, .022p, .038, .048, .062
Drop G#: .014, .018, .024w, .040, .050, .070
Standard A440: .0095, .015, .019, .030, .040, .050

Acoustic are D'Addario EXP Coated:
Drop B open: .013, .017, .026, .035, .045, .056

Used to use SIT's in those gauges (with minor differences), but the D'Addario's seem to last a bit longer without going dead as fast.

I would probably go with Dean Markley if getting custom sets/single strings were possible without so much hassle from them. It's odd to me that they seem like the only company that doesn't sell single strings.

DR pure blues

EDIT: To add I like the way they sound but they can have intonation issues from pack to pack with certain strings in the sets (the wound strings; particularly what would be the A and sometimes the E but not so much on that one). They're pretty minor to me and I think the sound makes up for it and not only is it easy to adjust, you should do your intonation every string change anyway. Probably part of the hand winding I guess because most machine wound sets I've tried aren't really affected by this, if only very little.

Used DR for a long time, went back to Ernie Ball recently. I find DRs way too bright and brittle sounding whenever I go back to them now, and I kinda realised one day when I was using them that they were sounding too bright. The trade off is that EBs don't last as long, but then they're cheaper so ya know..

I use different strings for each guitar.

Fender Dlx 50th Anni strat: Fender Super Bullets 9 -42. THis guitar has a floating bridge and the bullets just seem to help with tuning stability. Not only that, but they're some of the slinkiest feeling strings out there IMO.

Edwards LP: DR Tite-Fit 10 - 46. I moved up a gauge on this guitar now that Im tuning a half step in this new band. The DR's tend to feel a little more stiff so I originally used their 9's to compensate for the scale length. At NAMM this past year, the guy at DR told me the tite-fits were designed to be used with Gibson scale length guitars, while the Blues were for Fender scale lengths...

CS 52 RI Tele: GHS 9 - 42. I like GHS because they feel the slinkiest out of all strings Ive tried besides the Super Bullets.

Vigier: GHS 9 - .46

Ernie ball Super Slinky's 9-42
They last longer then the dead addarios that I used to use! Dead addarios are great for live playing IMHO because they feel like they are already stretched right out of the gate but they only last me one show.

I used to love Dean Markley strings but I always managed to snap strings when using them. I might have to revisit them since both Dan and I smeg out the strings with acid sweat :hys:

Been using Elixir 9-42s lately. I like 'em alot, however, I got a new guitar that has 10s on it and I actually find I can play better on that guitar??? I'm going to switch strings on another guitar to 10s and if that works out, everything is going to 10s... I do like the Elixirs...

Super Slinky's... They were my first strings, and they are what I always come crawling back to after trying anything else.
