I've always owned a Mustang.

No Girlfriend! lol... unless I only take one cab.
The secret is the back seats fold down.

I always had a pickup or SUV and helped others haul gear in the past. Now I just have a Harley and a 370Z. So I get help sometimes. But I can get a 2x12 in the passengers seat, and cram a guitar, head, and small pedalboard in the small area behind the seats and hatchback area.

We had a nice 15' trailer but the original lead guitarist (who I replaced) felt that he should get the trailer after he quit, as he paid most of the gas and the insurance/plates were in his name...thing is, the band purchased the trailer together (over $3000) with gig money. I am not very happy about this, obviously. Now our friends store some gear for us and I have to rent a 6x12' trailer for gigs and pull it with my Jeep Liberty. Major pain in the ass!!!

Used to use a 24 foot box truck when we carried our own 20000 watts of PA and full lighting to all gigs.. but now a 16 foot trailer behind a pickup truck.

In college we used a semi trailer and a buddy who had a semi (Huge PA and light show).
Nowadays it's just my Nissan Frontier Crew Cab for my gear and sometimes a few drums.

Ford Escape. Can get 2 4x12 cabs and 2 heads along with my pedalboard, 4-5 guitars, guitar stand, fan and mic stand. Most of the time I bring my 2 2x12 cabs though.

I use my Ford Expedition for 90% of our shows. It has plenty o room for my rig and guitars. The other 10%, I use my F150 king cab. Really boils down to where we are playing and if I think there might be rain.

I use my daily driver, a Saturn SL1 4 door.
I get 2 PA speakers, Boogie MK4 widebody combo, extension 1x12 for Boogie, Gig bag full of cables, mic stand, guitar stand, music stand, guitar, and me in that thing.

I gotta be honest, I haul everything in my Odyssey mini-van. Take out the middle seats and fold down the back seats and it has room. The doors open automatically on both sides, it is THE gear hog!
I had a pick-up that worked as well, but everything was out in the open and I couldn't load up and just lock the doors.
Now, I can haul all the PA and my guitar rig inside and be able to lock it up tight. It's a little Tetris, but once you get the hang of it...everything fits perfectly.
I am talking 4X12 cab and head, plus 4 space rack (Voltage regulator, wireless, Axe FX Ultra), 3 guitars, and pedal board for the guitar rig...PA is RCF powered subs, QSC powered mains, 2 containers of cables (power, mic, etc) and 2 containers of misc gear (mics, instrument cable, back-up stuff, etc), full 10X12 rack (bottom has Furman, EQ's, compressors, in-ear receiver, wireless mic receiver, power amp, lexicon effects) with Alllen & Heath Wiz 3 board on top. Even have a 2 tree light show with small light board and a padded Gator case for the 8 par cans. Sometimes the monitors travel with someone else, but everything else is packed in the mini-van.
It's a sweet little set-up. Not big enough for arena rock, but plenty for any of the clubs I have ever played.
Have mini-van will RAWK!!

wow i'm surprised all that fits.
Why I started this thread was to just see how you guys do it. I currently have a 2000 Camaro z28 and the most i can fit is a few pa speakers, a few guitars, 2x12 cab, amp head, and pedalboard. I'm looking to maybe get a honda fit or CRZ. Seems like the fit has a TON of room and gets good gas mileage..

On gigs in the bad side of town I just ride with my singer...he's a plumber so we use his van. It smells like shit, but there's no way anybody would ever think of breaking into a plumbing truck.
