I'm ordering a custom strat, and can't make up my mind...LOL. It's going to be 3-tone Sunburst with a Brazilian rosewood board.

Here are my choices:

Black with Black pups
White with white pups
Mint with Mint pups
Tortoise Shell with White
Tortoise Shell with Black

Id go white too.

EDIT: I have mint green on my strat and it just looks wierd, I really should replace it. Thats why I wouldnt go for that!

#2 - mint with aged white bits. Has to be a good mint though and not some of the brightass green you see sometimes...leaning almost towards ivory. Something like:

Thanks guys! I'm leaning towards the mint/aged white parts myself.

Oh...I forgot to mention. This will be a reliced guitar, so white pearloid is out. Don't get me wrong, i think it's very sexy...but it just won't jive with the vintage vibe I'm going for...

ps - if you or the builder is looking for particular bits, I like the 50's knobs and bits I got from:

great call Mikey! I really like the looks of this one:

Shipping was pretty quick and reasonable even though they are across the pond. I put their bakelite style knobs and pup covers on my EJ, along with their tone capacitor...

Then I'd go mint. It's very refreshing!

White pickguard with aged pickup covers and switch/knobs
+1. That's what I put on my Strat. Except the pup covers and tip are technically called "parchment". Which is a bit less dramatic looking than the "aged" color against the white.
