What's your #1 driving/shower song. The one that comes on and you have to sing every word and give it a good go while doing it. Could it be Meatloaf, ABBA, Maiden, Carcass or any number of pop classics. After hearing it come on again today in the 'ol phone shuffle I think mine is Love Hate Love by AIC. What you got?

god there are dozens really.......but a few would be

duran duran - ordinary world
don henley - new york minute
eagles - I can't tell you why (i'm a real sucker for a ballad and timothy b schmit has a voice I just love)
eagles - waiting in the weeds
cradle of filth - Cruelty Brought Thee Orchids
Ratt - we don't belong

I sing my own songs in the shower

"1234 buckle my shoe, 1234 hey fuck you"

Well, the shower is a great place for self examination.

"Fall To Pieces", by VR - can hit it perfectly behind the mic. This song is the song everyone asks me to sing whenever we're out.
"Nothing as it Seems", by PJ - perfect, very close runner up, but the band's gotta know how to play it - uncommon.
"The Noose", APC - perfect; another tricky one for the band usually.

If I could, I'd likely play in a STP/Weiland tribute band...I seem to have a lot of his songs down pat; interestingly enough as he's an incredible fuckin' singer, and I am incredibly fuckin' not   But I think it's the fact I've got his nuances down, that and I know what he's doing with his singing in the songs - sing them enough times over and over, and you (me, in this case) can hear exactly what was happening and why. Ton of songs off No.4 (STP) as well as Tiny Songs.

I don't like singing as I can't play guitar and sing at the same time, but whenever I've been asked to or have gigged or jammed or the like, these 3 songs I am hitting deadringers on and no, that's without the guitar around my neck. Can't do both - period.

Not an extensive list, but I've got them down, can mimic the vocal tone, and got all the vocal nuances down. If I had to pick one cat I can mimic well, it's Weiland, but only in very specific songs of which comprise a rather short list

I don't really get to examine myself in the shower too much. I take military showers. Three minutes tops, 2, if I don't shave my balls that day

My wife just reminded me of another one that completely blanked my mind... She heard me sing it countless times and it's another deadringer:

"Blurry" by Puddle of Mudd.

And again, no, absolutely ZERO guitar capabilities when singing

A gre up singing a lot of choir stuff and Broadway stuff. While I love playing guitar influenced by my heroes like Vai, kotzen, bettencourt, etc... When I sing, I usually sing some kind of showtune from les Mis, phantom of the opera, rent, miss saigon, Jekyll and Hyde, Jc superstar... The list goes on and on.

For the past few weeks, it's been...

Searching With My Good Eye Closed - Soundgarden
Big Long Now - Nirvana
Harvest - Opeth
God Am - Alice in Chains

Lately I can't stop singing these 3...

Bee Gees - I started a Joke
Highway Man - Highway Men
Lethal - Arrival

I've spent the greater part of the last 7 years singing a lot more than I've even looked at a guitar. I grew up a hardcore AIC and Queensryche nut, so those guys are on constant rotation. While I can scream my ass off, my screaming voice sounds a lot more like Phil Anselmo than some of the more gutteral guys like Randy Blythe, so I love raging out to some Pantera and Down.

The new Soilwork has been getting nonstop play since it came out, fucking vocals are so over the top insane on that record that it's hard to keep up!
