Dave has been making comments/jabs about the new cameron amps and him and the big Kahuna had some words.

He made a comment about the new atomica amp sounding to dark and not having any harmonics and i guess the shit hit the fan.

I would have changed the name of the amps from the get go, it's cool that they are helping the 14 guys who got jagged in the corn hole by Mark with the ccv's but that doesn't take away the tainted memories and nightmares that come along with the Cameron name, sorry big bro aint trying to be a dick but it's true and if anyone knows it, it's you. . . BUT the big man is smart, and knows the name is associated with the product, and MARKS amps sound excellent which = $$$$$$

Asking to be banned is weird. Dave is definitely strong willed. He liked to stir the Cameron pot quite a bit. Is that bad, good, or doesn't matter? YOU decide. His videos sparked my initial interest in the CCV, but I would NEVER have bought one until Brad took over. They can now be purchased guilt and worry free. My my, such rambling thoughts.....4 am speak.....

The only person that posted anything here that actually knows what is going on is Brad. He said Dave wanted to leave. Why keep questioning that? He said Dave could come back if he wanted to. Get over it and move on. This is a just a forum (albeit a good one), it should not be your life.

All I know is Dave is a Straight up Guy, and a Good Dude always trying to help someone here, and for him to flat up and leave after so many posts... Someone must have given him a good reason.

That being said... I like a dark sound, and might not always agree about that, but Dave is an Experienced Player that knows what he likes, and if he feels he does not like something He should be able to SAY IT HERE!!!

This Forum is supposed to be like the the News Media.... FAIR an Un-Biased... It's NOT supposed to have a Vested interest. Let people express themselves freely, and let the chips fall where they may... Our Real news media is Biased and filters content, and promotes one side, and look where that's gotten us as a Country!

I had the same issue here... I started a thread about a Very Bad Expirience with a Friedman amp that a waited for a long time, and paid through the nose for, and when I took issue with him because A) it sounded terrible. B) the work was some of the worst I have ever seen I was treated with Arrogance, and was insulted, like what do I know, and how dare you not love my shit.

THE THREAD DISAPEARED IN MINUTES!!!! Why Cause Friedman is a Partner of the Owner of the Thread... REAL NICE! Sorry, but I have to call Bullshit. And If someone doesn't like it they can put me in the Dave Category.

I had Many PM's from people saying they felt the same way but were afraid to say anything cause of all the fanboys, and Friedmans Status... Hey, if you can't legitimately Voice your opinion on this space it's not worth being here.

All amps now a days are mod'd circuits of a previous amp. The way I see it Fender,Marshall and Vox are the 3 main amps, Im not sure about Hiwatt and Mata amps . Boogie being a mod'd Fender circuit. Friedman, Bogner, Cammeron, Suhr and many more all started as one of those circuits. So if you say a boutique amp sounds like one of those original amps I do not see why you would get flamed, its DNA is probably close. Cant see anyone getting but shut down for that

This has happened before (Í will not mention the example here to avoid another shitstorm) and sadly it will happen again. There is clearly a conflict of interest here. I wish all the best to the business partners on RT, but the censorship sucks balls big time. If sharing negative comments or experiences about certain brands etc. are not allowed, then be honest about it and just say so. Just lay out the rules up front so we can decide for ourselves to share something or leave it. The background moderation afterwards is a waste of time on both ends. This is not Korea...

i got booted from the fender forum for saying the cybertwin wasn't very good in a huge "hype the cybertwin-the future of fender amps" thread with all the big fender reps jumping in. i understand the concept.
don't hear much about the amp these days.

i will sing the praises of the super champ xd--the cheapest way to capture some of the fender clean magic and my gigging amp right now.

even if cameron amps now don't sound exactly the same as modded cameron marshalls, etc, big deal. still sound good to me. and the whole drama about people coming and going from forums...go read the national enquirer like an old lady if that kind of gossip turns you on.

So here's the thing...

This place is called Rig-talk. It's not called Cameron-Talk/Friedman-Talk/ToneMerchants-Talk etc... If this was the case, we'd all understand where we are and what's going on. If I'm on the Fender/EBMM/Any Manufacturer forum, I would expect some level of censorship. However, this forum was originally started as a completely impartial forum. No affiliation whatsoever. I don't see that as the case anymore.

As with most other divorces, it was probably either about the sex or the money.
Highly improbable but not impossible is that there was Brad-Dave-Mark love triangle that went bad.

I imagine a more likely scenario is that it's about the money. Brad has a serious investment in a couple of businesses here.
If someone had something unsavory to say about your product on your forum, that could not be tolerated.
I mod on another manufacturer's forum, and though suggestions and legitimate complaints are OK, straight up trolling or bashing of the builders wares is not at all permitted.

Like it or not, this is now a manufacturer's forum.

I'm guessing Dave said "not".

People like Dave are what make this a cool place.
I pm'd him a few times when I was on the waiting list for a cameron and he was very cool and answered all my noob questions even though I'm sure he'd done it a thousand time before when ever someone had gas for a Cameron.
I really dug his playing and his videos in general.
I hope he continues to contribute to the forum in the future..

Until then, I keep coming back to see GBS's avatar.. man I'd love to bury my face in that ass!!!
