Far as I know, still not even released. I think companies need to not promote and put stuff out all over the internet until it’s ready to ship out. People just lose interest imo.

In typical Peavey fashion, they’ve created confusing product names. The 6505 II is the rebadged 6505+. The other one is called the 6505 1992 Original or something like that.

Yeah, that's the one I'm thinking of. Not that I'm trying to get one or anything. Just thought there may have been more talk going on about it. Was wondering if it fell flat or something.

There was the original hype about a year back, and then recently it was implied that they were finally ready to start shipping, and then crickets again.

It doesn’t help they’re still made in China unlike the originals like mine that were made in USA. The changes are also laughable - just get a made in USA one and upgrade the OT like so many others have done. All the release did was show the badass hidden capabilities of the OGs. Also with the release of the iconic, at an insanely lower price that sounds more Marshall which people love, peavey has some competition on their hands.

What they need to do is design something new and stop necro-bumping their own designs.

The only thing I want from the 6505 II is the faceplate which should have been released on mine instead of that stupid peavey oval medallion

That's been Peavey's M.O. for the past 20 years. Everything they ever announced didn't hit stores for 1-2 years.

It was listed at Sweetwater. I think they were having issues getting components (tubes if Im not mistaken) I think there are some in the wild

I was really waiting for this one, but found a 6505+ for a decent price meanwhile. So my interest kind of dropped.
Note: Mesa announces the MK VII and one week later you can buy them
