What happened to the "RIP Marshall" thread?

It was bullshit so it was deleted... Friedman actually came in and said he was wrong Marshall is still building in the UK.

Wow....now you can't even access the Tone Talk video #2 with Pete Thorn and John Suhr. Must have opened up a huge can-O-worms. :confused:
 
So what if it was bullshit. It still stirs good conversation about Marshall and all things the future of amps etc. Dave came in and corrected it. It wasn't like it was slandering someone or turning into a shit show. Of course I can see Dave reaching out and asking it be deleted so it doesn't trigger a google search response of Friedman saying UK Marshall is over, but should have checked for himself before saying something like that in the first place. I didn't feel it was a malicious thread. I think if just a regular Joe came in and said a brand X was doing Y and it wasn't true nothing would happen. The truth would surface and the thread would peter out naturally or take on a life on a different tangent.
 
he asked me to delete it. i scanned it real quick and didn't think it was a big deal so I did.....I'm a mesa guy anyway so.....

IMHO it was a good call... misinformation spreads like wildfire on the internet :lol: :LOL:
 
Was deleted over at the other site where everyone has a stick up there ass. The other site’s name rhymes with “The Gear Page”. Was curious why. Makes sense now
 
Yeah, spreading misinformation can bring about all kinds of lawsuits. Damage has already been done though... although seems like it wasn’t on purpose.

If it was anyone else who started the rumor, we'd have a thread about how much of a douche move it was. Maybe people will think twice before they open their mouth.

All threads, books, monuments, people and other objectionable stuff should be deleted.

Nobody should be arsed to wade through a history of dialogue and documentation and be expected to research to validate and form their own opinion.
 
Just out of curiosity, might as well bite, what do they still make in the UK?
