I don't know.

I can't find it on the VHT website either!

Rumor has it the sig x is getting a makeover. Im sure we'll find out at namm

They are updating the Sig X..... It is getting a few changes.
One if the clean voices is going to change.
You will be able to run el34/6l6/kt88.
You will be able to get a fatter sound at lower volumes.
These changes can not be done to the older models.

After that I am sure it will be on there.
They are updating the web site and things are being added as it goes.

I plan on picking one of these up....

Badass.

Did u ever get your D120H updated? What were the changes?

No..... Dave P told me the updates make it a little warmer. But they are very subtle .... Not much difference. The powertubes still sound strong. When they start going I will send it in to have everything done. With the release of the Power Station I no longer care about getting a loop for it..... Since it has a loop. I use two gcx / gcp ..... So I can do all the switching with that.

I have had a few ideas about doing a rig using both amps..... Who knows maybe one if these days I will do it.

Cool.

It's in my brain that they did away with the choke filter in favor of a resistor. Was this part of the change? Wouldn't that help with the clean to mean thing? Trainwreck uses a 1K-25 watt to feed the screen supply to the power tubes. That amp has crazy good clean top mean, but it doesn't have near the total freq response and beef that the big D has.

They said it made no difference at all in the sound or feel. Different circuits are going to react different to changes.

Oh wow. I hope they implement footswitchable more/less option and add midi.

I've had two of those. They're okay, but I'd prefer it built directly into the amp.

I second that. Midi has been around for a long time. You'd think that there'd be a bigger push for more builders to have featured it as part of their repertoire, especially with the advent of the midi controlled modelers out there.

They are not.... I already listed the changes above.

Less than 10% of guitar players use anything midi ..... So they do not put them on any of their amps.
This is the unit they recommend....

Maybe more players would use MIDI if more amp makers built it in. I think with how much people are using plugins, impulses, DAW's and other computer based rig applications, an amp having MIDI should be more and more commonplace. It's not something I need but I can see it's usefulness. Hell, Marshall put it in an amp in '92 (even if it was prone to failure). I reckon most makers who offer a multi channel/voiced model should offer it as an option. It would be a waste on a Deliverance but on a Sig X could be handy.
