I posted this video on another thread in the video/audio clip board last week but there may be more interest here.
Last fall I was wanting to start doing some home recording, all I've been interested in playing as of late is Alice in Chains and planned to do a bunch of their songs. I wasn't looking for an amp but then the Friedman JJ demo video on Youtube came along and 48 hours after seeing it mine was preordered! I haven't been in a band or played out in years so this is the only action the JJ will see.
I've only had time for three recordings since December, I finished this one a little over a week ago. Granted most of the guitar you hear is acoustic but there's some clean JJ with chorus through the whole song and obviously it was used for the leads.
I think I'm going to go back and do Would? again next (there's a Would? video in my profile but that was my first test of the Tascam) and then maybe Nutshell then Man in the Box.
I'm looking forward to seeing AIC two weeks from tomorrow in Cincinnati for my third year straight. I contacted the venue to find that Yes! We do offer meet and greets!, but their second (politely worded) email assured me that if I wasn't a regular member at their casino with a year of accumulated game play that I wouldn't be eligible to buy a meet and greet ticket. Disappointing that someone with little or no interest would have the opportunity but a lifelong fan willing to pay the price would not.
