I second @Aynirar27 's recommendation for the Boss OD-3. It works great as a boost (like the SD-1), but also as a low/medium gain stand-alone overdrive. It's not ass bass-shy as the SD-1, it's not as raspy as the BD-2...
But @Matte23 since you already have experience with the Bogner Red, why not consider the Bogner Blue?
I had both at a time and while I didn't need a low/medium gain overdrive at the time, I found the Blue a lot more amp-like for those Plexi-ish and unboosted, but more polished JCM800 tones, whereas with the Red, it sounded a bite more 'pedal-like' than amp-like.
I now have a Friedman BE-OD Deluxe on the way, but that's on the higher gain side of things.
Do NOT go for that Maxon SD9, if it's anything like the vintage Ibanez version. It's a rather raspy, almost fuzzy distortion, only slightly better than the DiMarzio Very Metal pedal (rare AF nowadays...only buy that one for the 80's looks, not the tone!)
