What is "the" current production 6L6 right now???????

i like the sovtek 5881 wxt that greg mentioned for my 5150

i like the ruby 6l6gc in my tourmaster.

the ruby tubes sound good in my 5150 too, but the sovteks have a bit more lower mid growl when biased properly.
 
Well, looks like my amp will have to go to a tech. I finally had a chance to open it up and found the 2 amp fuse inside was blown. And not just a little. It pretty much went out scorched earth style. It even burnt a small place on the board where it mounts.

But I was hopefull. I replaced all the fuses and swapped in a quad of Sovtek 6L6WXT+ I had as back ups. It's still a no-go. I get initial power and the tube heaters work. But when I flip on the standby I get nothing. No light, no output.

Anyone know a good amp tech in the east TN area?
