What is your "backup" up you bring to shows

I am looking for an inexpensive and "small" backup... Jet City? Tiny terror?
I am looking for a Marshally thing

I wish I had one, Used to be a Crate Stealth 100w Until I fried the transformer. :(

Id like to have a backup but, would probably do more harm then good unless it was the same exact amp.

Id go for a 6505, Ampeg VH-140C, Or Bugera 6262.

Something cheap but ballsy.

Im not knowledgeable in Marshall territory but Ive heard some good sounds out of cheap Marshalls...

Tiny Terror would be good, but it wouldnt be able to keep up live for what I do..So id use it for recording.

What type of music do you play?

Yeah, I usually bring two 'main' heads and just use one as a back up. This weekend, I'll do the gig with my 101b, and my backup will probably be my SLO, or my 92 Dual Rec.

I would think a little Jet City would work great as a 'Marshally' backup.

I was just thinking of Not spending 1500 or more on an amp I do not really play.....

Thanks....

These days I don't like to carry a lot of stuff, so My main rig is my Marshall JVM, a Digitech gsp1101 for effects, a control 2 footpedal to switch the amp and effects and a 2x12.

I designed the rig this way because if the amp craps out on me, I can use the Digitech GSp1101 straight to the board.

I can get some very convincing sounds out of the Digitech and I don't have to lug another amp.

My mega portable rig is even smaller hahhaha! (Digitech RP1000 and two tech 21 power engines and I bring the GSP1101 as a backup)

I bring a blonde .... my regular is a brunette ...
.... But for amps I bring a Egnator Rebel 20.....Have never needed it ... but have let others & rather lend it than one of my main amps for the show.

Mesa Mark V as primary, Mark IV as a backup. Or this weekend, 5150 III as primary and Mark IV as backup.

POD HD Bean... about to sell it to a buddy though and get that Two Notes CAB with an AMT pedal or something in front.

I bring spare tubes/fuses.

Never done anything big enough to justify carrying a second amp.

Similar to Gainfreak...

My gigging rig uses an Eleven Rack as a pre into a Mesa 2:90. If the Mesa craps out, I can route the Eleven Rack to FOH. If there was a major problem with rack cabling or something that would prevent me from doing that, I have my small rack rig in the trailer (my old "hair metal" rig). A Digitech GSP21, a Midiverb III and a Peavey Classic 60.

If my 101b goes down I'll go direct with my nova system.

Normally it's in the loop of the Bogner but all my presets have drive sounds programmed, so all I have to do is connect it to the snake, turn the output from line to drive and move the input cable.

BOSS Power Stack and EH 44 Magnum. Or JCA22H...

I use a Jekyll and Hyde and the Mag 44. This combo is the perfect backup IMHO. Small yet can power a 4x12.

For this tour I'm on I'm using a AxeFx II as my fx unit for my VH4 if the VH4 goes down I have som patches programmed in the AxeFx for going direct.....if both go down hopefully someone in another band we're playing with will let me use a amp.

Zackman's rig.

That's your backup rig?! Wow, what's your main rig?

On a more serious note, we have a Marshall Lead Mosfet 100 solid state head as a backup for both of us (we are a 2 guitar band) and a Radial Bones London distortion pedal to go with it.

I use the Radial in my main rig as well, so if my head fails I can just switch to the Mosfet and get the job done. If the other guys AFD decides to call it a day we can just switch by board to him and I'll boost my plexi clone with a ZW-44 or sthing like that. Simple and low cost ;).

BFG modded JCA20 to back up my Budda SD80. It'll do just fine if ever needed and will sound pretty damn good doing it.
