Egnater IE4 Channel 4 -> TC 2290 -> FX return of Egnater Seminar Head.

mark IV hands down, it even crushes my mark III at this in my opinion...

jmp superbass with dual master mods and cascading gain mod on v1, with full mullards in the pre and svet 6550s biased hot over 52 in the power section

Mark IV with it's reverb and a little delay :2thumbsup: I'm getting a chub thinking about it

Bogner XTC or Mesa Mark series. We'll see how the Einstein fares in a few days...

Ive found out that any amp , provided you spend enough time with it can be made to play just the way you want it more or less. Its strictly a matter of finding or using whatever works ...

XTC for smooth liquidy leads

Absolutely!!

XTC for smooth liquidy leads? ha... you must have never tried the Herbert with SED EL34s & EVM12L/V30s.

Yep I have because I owned one a few years back and after that an Einstein and while the Herbert was nice...... I much perfer the XTC Classic for leads.

Of the amps i have owned.. my favorite for leads would be this Cameron HG Jose JMP which i have now, and also the Boogie MKIII.

This Cameron is my third one so far, and is the best sounding/easiest to play of all of the ones i owned!

One particular Soldano HR50+ I owned a few of times. No boost or FX needed.

Agreed... QuickRod is my fave out the gate. Yet, could prolly take my GE-7 / OCD (18 volt, on HP) and get a good lead tone off most backlines.
