I have tried plenty of guitar cables including Monster, Evidence Audio, Live Wires, Planet Waves, Dimarzio, Fender, etc, and I have to say my favorite has been an older USA made Peavey cable with xcon ends. It didn't sound as good as the Evidence Audio, but it was pretty much indestructible. I beat the crap out of that thing and it didn't give me so much as a crackle of static. I have been using some cheapies because I lost the Peavey, and after 4 band practices they are already crapping out. So what is your favorite?

a mix of mogami (instrument cable) and planet waves for effects/routing

My favorite is the Evidence Melody (I think it sounds very good for the price compared to the Lyric)

I have an old Dimarzio, about 15 years old, still works and sounds great.

Cheap Whirlwind built fenders
Have 4 or 5 with 20 years on them and still going
I have some high end cables, but dont hear a big difference.......
I hoped that I would

My favorite for best value based on cost/performance is DiMarzio.
Demo-ed Elixir, the new Fender, and EVH cables...
Elixir sounds great, but the fat gray cable is kinda weird and rubbery and the cable has a memory for kinks or twists.
The "new technology" Fender cable has a nice bright tone, but the over-sized, clunky L plug wants to fall out of the jack.
Just got the EVH, I have to A/B it with my "gold standard" DiMarzio, straight into the amp and give it a good listen.

I've been using Mogami for about a year and a half for all my connections including the one on my wireless pack. Really like them.

My favourite is the Fender coil cable. Not the crappy white one, but the thick black one.

Beyond that I typically use Planet Waves.

just picked up my first Monster Instrument Cable. Looks like it will outlive me but then again am old....

I bought all Monster cables 10 years ago and have had to replace one (20 footer). It was free from the lifetime warranty

I generally like Mogami since I can't afford the boutique stuff. Canare is good, too.

I've been doing well with Planet Waves cables, but I recently grabbed a Mogami instrument cable. I don't really hear a difference, but it physically it seems more durable. Has anybody used Colossal Cables? I've had their website bookmarked for awhile and would like to try them sometime. I want a cable that's thick and nearly indestructible, while sounding crystal clear.

My favorite is Zaolla "artist" which I have been using for about 2 yrs now. I also like the Evidence Lyric.

i have played a colossal cable and to me its too perfect. it literally adds frequencies to guitars (usually treble from what i recall) that you could not dial out - it made the guitars icey but in a very realistic accoustic sounding type of icey. IMHO the best i can explain is that its too good of a cable and i dont like what i heard when playing one. even my buddy who bought it (blues player) agreed after going back and forth with my mogami's and eventually he sold it.

Vovox, Evidence.

Planet Waves for kickin' it.

LAVA for board.

Peace,
V.
