What kinds of tubes are you using for Egnater modules?

Hi, I was wondering what kind of tubes everyone was using? And are you guys using different tubes for low gain modules as opposed to high-gain modules?

Thanks
Jamie  :) :)

The popular answer (and with good reason) will be to try a JAN Philips 5751 in V1 of the clean modules (love it in the VX), as well as V1 of the high-gain modules to tame the noise and make them more articulate. Another popular answer will be Tung-Sol 12AX7s in V1 as well. This is a great all-around tube, although some people find them too bright, in which case they'll often tout the JJ ECC83S instead.

That should get you started. Personally I also like the Penta Labs 12AX7s in V2 in the SL2, EG3/4 and the Brown; a Penta 12AX7M in V2 of my 1087 and my ERECT modules; and a Penta 7025C in V2 of my VX . . .

baldwin and silvertones in my tourmaster.

and a really crappy, lowtesting tung sol, sounds good, but the gain is drab. it tests bad, but sounds good.
gonna grab another 2 or 3 to see if i can get that definition and some better distortion.
