Yeah he had a X2N looking pu in the neck position on my rock palace vid.
he may have it wired in parallel for less output and more highs?
the X2n in the neck is a bit radical since it is a super hot model.
in the bridge he had the full shred but i think Viv did a low of experimenting
he was very young and looking for his tone.
That picture above has the Tom Anderson pickups that he used in it. They look like bars, but it's just a blurry picture of the big poles of the Andersons...
Alright, the "Jacks-O-Paul" pickups, while looking very similar to the X2N, are
actually Jay-Dee pickups (the same Jay-Dee that did Iommi's guitar waaay back when).
Regardless, I'm still calling the Holy Diver album the X2N pickup.

I heard from a viable source that Vivian Campbell of Dio and Def Leppard fame used the Seymour Duncan SH-14 Custom 5 during the recordings of Holy Diver and Last in Line. Heck, even Graig Goldy's guitarparts on Dream Evil were replaced by some leftover takes from Vivian, using an Ibanez Destroyer with DiMarzio Breed bridge and a Evo Neck.
(my writing style was intended this way to make the quote show up on search boxes...let's see if we can get this 'rumour' some traction.
