What speakers are you mixing with your H-75 Creambacks?

I've had Chinese V30's mixed with them before. It was alright, but it could've been better. The CB's overpowered V30's by quite a bit.

Right now I have Relic 30's mixed with them, but I'm not sure I'm digging it anymore. Relic 30's are louder than V30's so they blend better with CB's, but they're way too dark and kinda stuffy/muddy in the low mids.

I want something warmer than CB's, but not as dark as Relic 30's.

I'm thinking Mesa V30's or Marshall V30's... any thoughts? What else are you guys running with your H Creambacks?

The M65 creamback. I have the M65 / H75 combo in a 2x12 and like it a lot. But I have never heard these speakers separately , so I can’t comment on the differences.

Interesting. How do you feel about the efficiency mismatch? Is it a horizontal 2x12?

I got this cab: https://www.koolamplification.com/Products/Cabs/XLsn212CB65-CB75

The descpription of the company is accurate to my ears. It sounds pretty damn good in the room IMO. I use it with a Peavey 5150 for some noodling around. A V30 is perhaps better for recording, but I wanted to try something else and bought this one. In the end it comes down to personal preference. Perhaps you can buy some used speakers to test them out?

With respect to the efficiency mismatch, I don't know whether that has any influence on the sound. The power handling (130 Watt) matches my amp.

I'm running the H75 with a Redback in my Mesa 2x12. So far with my 6505, DSL and Triple Rectifier its been great! Very nice lows and not horrible on the high end.

I've got the V30/H75CB mix in my 2x12 and it's been pretty solid. I'm always wondering what two H75s would be like, or the Redback/H75 or two Redbacks.

I have the H75 mixed with an M65 currently in a Z Best 2x12. Previously, I was running with a pair of H75's.

As far as my ears go, the M extends the frequency range, rounding out the bottom end and adding some higher mid range. It's a perfect compliment, as far as I can tell.

I've also played that pair of H75's with a Greenback loaded cabinet, and I found it somewhat lacking in the higher mid region. Big lows, but not as balanced as the H/M combo.
