what tubes for Friedman Marsalls

Dave , you put me on the right track saying that some people put the wrong tubes in . I changed my pre amp tubes and the over powering britness is gone . So I was wondering what pre and power amp tubes do you recommend for your modded marshalls . Mine is a 79 jmp if it matters

he usually recommends shuguangs for the preamp, which are quite bright, and JJ EL34's for the power amp (which are supposedly dark)
 
Tungsol in the v2 position [1st stage of the BE] and Chinese in the other 12ax7 slots. JJ el34 or e34l power tubes.
