my brother has had my old zakk wylde wah forever and he thinks he broke it. I may try to replace the pot but im thinking its toast. Wondering what you guys are playing. I dont like wahs with a ton of shit on them just back and forth really probably dunlop. Anyone have a jerry cantrell wah?

One wah I had before that I liked was the Dunlop classic fassle inductor model they had out. It sounded great when used with gain though it could sound harsh to some. I also had an older vox wah that was great. I just purchased a full tone jimi wah off the classifieds that should arrive this week, can't wait!

Bad Horsie10th Anniversary white edition. I had one of the original black ones with the different spring and it broke and after lending it out I never got it back so I hunted one down and I have to say I love it once again even though I rarely use it.

I dont remember the model number, but it's the switchless Cry Baby.

I can never go back to that toe switch.

EVH Wah. Two blue LEDs to let you on and the sweetest midrange I've heard from a wah. The highs aren't shrill like I've heard from others, which is a plus.

Sounds like an original Budda Bud-Wah would be right up your alley. It's what I use when using my pedalboard rig. Have been using it for years with no Wah GAS.

I have the JC wah. I dig it. Would like to try some others though.

I have the Cantrell wah. It's cool but the sweep is very short. You need to move your foot more to get more "action" out of it. I wish I could a just a bit more high frequency too. I'm so in love with the heel down and middle tones that I'm not willing to not use it though. It's a cool pedal, but probably not for everyone.

Dunlop Buddy Guy Crybaby. Way better than anything else I've ever played.

Okay, here's a wah question for you guys. I got a cheap Dunlop Cry Baby wah in a trade deal recently. Kinda took it as icing for the deal. It's a newer GCB95 with a Rev H board. I've been reading up on mods that can be done to them. Anyone modded one of those?

Also, BYOC sells gut kits for wahs. Anyone gut a wah and build a kit from BYOC? Just kinda weighing my options.

Morley Mini Maverick Wah. Great sounding switchless wah in a tiny chassis. Great for economizing real estate on your pedalboard.

Was using Bad Horsie 2 for a long time until it crapped out. The Maverick sounds every bit as good to my ears.

Good to know. I'm making a B rig with a 5153 mini and am looking into getting the Maverick since I'm used to the Bad Horsie. I have been very curious about this wah.
