What wah's are you guys playing?

Been using the Tremonti wah for years now. I love the wide sweep and I'm now spoiled by the switchless/spring loaded design. There are other wahs that I like more, as far as tone is concerned (CAE MC404, RMCs, etc) but the Morley is built well and is super easy to use! I'll have to mod any future wahs to the switchless design if I change to something else.

I don't use a lot of wah but have a CAE MC404 also. Nice wah pedal with lots of tonal options.

Jim Dunlop Crybaby 535Q wah-wah with a Danelectro Fish 'n' Chips 7-band graphic EQ pedal.

I play a Fulltone Clyde McCoy Deluxe Wah, the white one but honestly as much as I love it, want to trade it for the much cheaper Dunlop Jerry Cantrell wah...why? Because I bite all my steez off Cantrell, might as well rock his wah too

Vox Big Bad Wah. I have a 535Q, but it got put away when I tried the Satch wah. Killer tonality, and extremely flexible. And all the controls face upward, so I can see and manipulate settings at will. It is big, but worth the extra size.

Bad Horsie II here although I could have opted for a regular one because I never use the "II" setting. I love the switchless design and the buffer works very well for me. Tone remains full compared to some others that thin out too much for my liking.

Dunlop rackwah 2 was very nice also but I don't use rackstuff anymore. It also needed to be in a looper because it definately colored the tone when bypassed.

I've used a few over the years including the Bad Horsie, 535Q and CAE.... but in the end I always come back to the plain jane Cry Baby. It sounds the best to my, and the sweep just works for how I play. Although, I would like to try the EVH and the Joe Bonamassa wahs.

I've modded my plain old crybaby with an led, true bypass, tweaked the gain and mids, and added a switch to go between two q values. Really easy to do and has about $10 worth of parts. Sounds great too!

silvermachine. I haven't found anything that comes close to the sound of this wah

Ive tried so many wahs like may of u guys , had the silvermachine too... it was cool! I hate running cables to n fro the rack.... I like some other pedals but then the bloody switch! switchless is so nice..weeping demon was a very nice wah, but then u put a lot of these up to a good crybaby aka whichever n nothing seams to cry like a real crybaby...

i want a wah somewhere between tremonti wah and zakk wydle.. so many lose something in the sweep either not enuff quack or high n shrill so i guess this quest goes on n on.....

but this new gull wah has my attention!

Have tried so many it is nuts! I much prefer switchless wahs. My go to all time favorite is the Dunlop 95Q.

thanks to everyone for the feedback. Im not a huge wah player like i use to be. I started using it to mask how shitty a guitar player i was. Flash forward a few years i have not played one in a long time and i have become a better player. I may just buy your old school cry baby of craiglist or something we will see.

I used to use a morley power wah (the kind w/ an ac power corde). that thing kicked total ass, but it was old and had a bad buzz so I went to a tremonti... which suffices...

If I ever get off my ass I'll finish this up and put it in my rack. it's a tremonti circuit (easily mod'd to a bad horsie). planned on making more to sell, but never got much response

Love this thread. It's great to hear about others experience and hear about pedals I haven't seen before.

I have been using Bad Horsie II for a while and I do enjoy the spring loaded, switchless design.

If you get a crybaby, look up the stinkfoot mods. Really easy to do and let you tweak to your hearts content.
