What Wahs Don't Tone-suck?

I just put a 2nd board together to use with my JVM. I use a Weeping Demon Jr because I love the feel of the pedal, auto on-off and the relatively subtle effect. I hate how it seems to kill the signal. On the board I use with my Mark IV, I have a Cry Baby that I modded myself to make it True Bypass.

What are you guys using? I know nothing is perfect but I'm curious.

Thanks.
Dave

Is the old one the one that looks like a purple and chrome cry baby or the one that is all chrome? And thanks.

The old version of the Budda Wah is the shit.

Yep. The one that looks like a wah pedal, not a spaceship.

Fulltone Clyde is very transparent IME. Three voicing options plus a volume control.

I know it supposed to but my 535q doesn't have any tone suck. If it does its minimal

I have a Vox Clyde McCoy Deluxe and a Teese Wheels of Fire wah. Of the 2, I prefer the Teese, both are true bypass, which is really important with wah pedals.

Have you looked into a G lab wah pad? Not sure if you're referring to having tone loss just with the pedal in your signal chain or when the pedal in engaged. If its true bypass related problem i'd look into a wah pad.

My Fulltone McCoy deluxe doesn't seem to affect the tone too much rather in or out of the chain (tested using the gcx one day).

ive never had any tone degradation with my mxr dual inductor.

I've loved the Dunlop Buddy Guy Crybaby. I haven't noticed any tone suck when it's off and its such a sweet sounding wah. It seems not many people have it because it doesn't get a whole lot of love but it ended my search for the perfect wah for me!

There's a forum member here named ProjectX. Give him a shout. He'll make you a custom wah that's true bypass and tailored to your needs. I had him build me a Cantrel clone a little while back and it's killer.

I had a Dunlop cantrell wah for a bit. It wasn't as bad at tone sucking as my other regular crybaby.
