What were the issues with early 5150iii's?

Have read the first run of 5150 iii's had some issues, what were they? Looking at a used 100w.
 
I always heard about switching issues, clicking and popping with the foot switch. Don't recall hearing many other things.
 
They did have problems with the footswitch cables and the problems related to the popping issues was preamp tubes with the one I had.
 
I returned two of the first issue 5150 III's. My amps had switching popping and pretty severe hum issues. I have to say that Fender customer service was incredible to me though....they took care of everything. Sounds like they got the bugs worked out with the newer version.
