What's a good speaker for a 1x12?

Thinking of getting one of these for grab and go situations. What do you guys recommend that's not too spendy, considering it's really a backup, to my backup. I like v30's once they've been broken in well, I also seem to like CL80's and the Egnater Elite 80 version. I'd want something that could handle a little higher gain without farting out too much.

I have a Mesa Thiele 1x12 with the 200w evm speaker.. I like that, and it can seriously throw some sound out !

take a look at some of the eminence speakers. i'm pretty sure they have one very similar to the V30, and they're made in KY.

i want to get some swamp thangs sometime when i get a job again (lol) to mix in my empty mode four cab with 2 of the V30's out of the vintage cab i have. they sounded very similar to G12H30's in some youtube speaker comparison video i saw
then if i ever get more i'll probably be buying emi's since they're made here in the US lol
here it is i had to dig it up lol

I have a Texas Heat in a 1x12 cab that I run a Stiletto through for practice and as a grab and go (gave up on combo amps) and it sounds great. Governor sounds good but is a little more spikey sounding by itself depending on your cab. I found the Texas Heat to be a little warmer.

I recommend the WGS Retro 30.
75 watts, similar to a V30 but with less upper mids, deeper, tighter lows and more clarity.

That's a great vid! Extremely helpful.

After listening to that, I think it's between the K-100, the Swamp Thang and the Jensen P12N. There's things about each one of those that I really like.
