Got it today, played with it for the last 2 and half hours or so, to say the least I'm impressed, still have alot to learn, but got a killer tone with the stock Recto patch, loaded a bunch that I've been downloading from the site, so far my favorites are, a Herbert, Pittbull, VH4, and Petes Fortin patch. now I just wish I had all the kickass amps I've had in the past to profile :lol: :LOL: amp planning on an ampfest in Dallas soon and I'll be profiling a bunch of killer amps.

Thanks to Brad, got it exactly when he said I would, got the carrying case with it, and a King Guitars T-shirt. hooked me up, Thanks Brad you are awesome, we WILL do business again. ;)

anyways, I'm off to play with it some more.... :D Just thought I'd share.

Congrats on the Kemper, it's always funny what you see in the back ground of pictures. I spot Crown Royal and a preamp tube standing up in front of your studio monitor. Don't rock out to hard on the Kemper it might knock that preamp tube over! Just Joking

Sweet! You even got the better looking one. I will be waiting to see what you think of it through monitors and through a traditional poweramp and cab setup....
 
so far thing sounds killer through monitors, I'm just using my KRK rokit 5s for now until I get my Tannoys fixed, this weekend I'll try running it through the return of a tube amp and SS amp, as well as a SS power amp, and I've got my Cameron cab, and a full range Acme cab.... gonna try 'em all and see how they work, if I can squeeze enough time, I'll try to do some vids of each with the Q3HD. ;)
 
I've been feeling the slight itch in the back of my mind to get one of those to compare against the Axe FX II since I have a love/hate relationship with that thing... might wait until that 3U rack version comes out though.

Is the Kemper really plug n play friendly?

It is for the most part, you can tweak the hell out of it, if you want, or of you really like the original tone of the profile, plug and play. :D
 
Hit me up if u want me to send some of my fav profiles. I have waded through since the beginning.
 
Hey Jug, if a Dallas ampfest happens, let me know - I'd love to attend if I don't have a gig and I can bring some extra mics/stuff to record profiles, and maybe bring a few fun amps (fortin mod, maybe a '70 or '72 Marshall, etc)

Glad you're digging the fortin profile, I did 16 or 18 profiles of it with different cabs and mics and channels and such. It sounds so mean it makes the rev blue uberschall I had sound like a partridge family bbq.

Congrats...these things seem to be pretty damn cool. I plan to try one out at some point.
