What's so great about Voodo Lab Pedal Power? Alternatives?

The isolated outputs is what is so great about it. If you get a one-spot or powerall type adapter (which I use) you may have noise issues with the daisy chain process. The DC brick which looks more like the Voodoo Lab's pedal power has non-isolated outputs too.

Having Isolated outputs is like having many different power supplys.

They also have 18V outputs and a few adjustable 9V outputs. It really is the creme of the power supplies IMO.

They are very good power supplies and as stated isolated outputs is very nice to have.

I have never used any else. Look at all the rack builders. They use them....so good enough for me. There aren't many alternatives...DC Brick and a couple others and I don't see anyone promoting them on a professional level.

I've never had a noise issue, or ground issue, or hum issue at ALL. EVER. using the PP2+. I love mine. Well made, well thought out product by VooDoo Labs. They made a winner with that one.

You *could* save a few bucks getting a cheaper power supply, but I'm telling you. Spend the extra $, and get the Voodoo. it rocks.

Does the Voodoo Lab Pedal Power allow pin polarity changes per output? I need a pin-positive polarity for a pedal.

Since the outputs are isolated I bet you could just use the Adapter cables for the One-Spot or Power-all supplies and they would work. Not sure what voodoo labs sells in the way of cables though.

These are the special cables you can order directly, I needed 18v ones and ordered it through them to power my flanger and my mjm sixties vibe. However for 18v, it takes up two of your power outputs, it combines the two 9v outputs.

I recently picked it up a few months ago and its a big improvement to the pedal board, not noisy like when I use my godlyke power-all

My power-all is very quiet and I have a few pedal boards. I am just too cheap to buy 2 or 3 Voodoo labs pedal powers, even though I think they are the cats meow.

Hmm some pedals seem to love or hate the godlyke for me, my Maxon OD-9 set for a clean boost makes so much noise when using the Power-all, I've just found it more consistent with the PP2+, however I wish there were more than just 6 power outputs :( There's a new one in the works that I saw at NAMM, not sure how much it costs.

More outputs on the pedal power would be cool. What's strang on the power-all is I have a good deal of different pedals and haven't had any noise issues. I have a Maxon OD-9 and OD-808 and both are quiet. The only pedals I have to keep on their own supply is an Akai Headrush E1 and Line 6 Verbzilla. The rest play well together. I used to have a signal flex PS-9 before the power-all and that signal flex was alot noisier (had a hum all the time).

Just to be clear, there is no question in my mind that the voodoo labs pedal power 2 is a better unit than the power-all.
