I got a really nice JCM800 half stack from Black Market Music in LA when it used to be there. They also had a cool Black market Music in San Francisco. I got it for $800 out the door, a really nice 4 x 12 Marshall with greenbacks and a 100 watt JCM800. Also got a very nice Les Paul Standard, a 1990 from San Francisco Black Market Music for $850 out the door, of course these deals happened in 1995 and 96.

Worst deal, lets see. Bought a Bogner XTC from a forum and paid with paypal gift. I got the XTC, and it didn't work. I contacted the guy who I got it from and he just ignored me. I sent many messages and was ignored. I took it to a tech, and it ended up being about $600 to get it fixed. I thought maybe the damage could have happened during shipping and I could pursue an insurance claim from my end, but the damage definitely didn't happen during shipping, the tech said there is no way the last person who played it didn't know there was something wrong with it. So, it all came out of pocket to get it repaired. It was very irritating being ignored by the seller.

lets hear your best and worse deals!!!

Best. Any of the amp deals I have made with mailman Dan.

Worst. The $50 half and half from mailman Dan. Too much teeth.

Hey! You said you were in a hurry?
Just did my best at the moment.

I just scored a VERY good condition 96 PRS McCarty for 1050! Like it was meant to be. Now I have to sell my ESP Horizon for cheap because I forgot a couple important bills. It is also a steal to be exact :D

Moon that wasn't the Bogner you traded me was it? :gethim: :gethim: YOu never told me anything was wrong with it.. although when you shipped it to me it had zero problems. I actually loved it

Best- Norlin era Gibson Les Paul Standard for $399 with the factory hard shell case. Laney GH50L $163 out the door.

Craigslist a few years back... Got a Budda SuperDrive 30 combo loaded with a scumback h75 and the headshell along with it for $450 and a blackout effectors whetstone(worth about $200 I think?). Man I was stoked that day. Don't have the sd anymore but I loved that amp.

no, it wasn't. my friend who is local has it now. he loves it. I actually have had 3 101b's and a 20th. I would have told you it had a problem.

Worst - Selling my 50 watt Marshall Silver Jubilee head for $75 when I was broke and partying too much, or when I sold my Boss CE1 chorus/vibrato pedal for $10 in the late 90's. I had no idea at the time that vintage pedals had skyrocketed in price. I realized I had been had when I came back in the store and saw it in a glass case selling for $400.

Best - Getting the Fender custom shop sunburst relic Strat in this video for $2200 off Lincoln Brewster when he was unloading some gear on Ebay. I love this guitar and have no intention of selling it though I have had offers from Brewster fans.

WOW!!!! that strat sounds great!!

PEAVEY Bandit 65 and Gibson 1978 or so LP Studio for $50
Amp sucked. Then I got a DOD SUPRA DISTORTION

Hey guys 357 Choppers is back in Biz. Who wants to get in on a group buy?

Best - Prs sc345 with 5909's for $1000

Worst - can't think of one.

Best-'88 black tolex Jube 2554-$800, white Cameron Aldrich 1987x $1100, '79 mint 1960a checkerboard 350, and last week a new condition '95 San Dimas IV for 650. Just like a PC1, built in the Jackson custom shop. Worst? Selling my main axe heavily gigged for 20 years for 250. Always regret that one. 1990 Hamer USA Centaura. Needed the cash for an amp.

I bought a peavey vtm 60 halfstack on cl and ended up selling just the amp for what I paid for it.

Free cab. Really good cab too.

As of late, I got a great deal on a new PRS S2 Satin Standard 24 for $700 shipped. And, I've had some great success with past guitars I've bought and sold.....many I was somehow able to get my money back completely or within a $100 (not counting seller fees). When buying new guitars, that's hard to do. Example: new 2013 Gibson LP Traditional for $1429 in 2013, sold it for $1,500 in 2015...new 2013 EBMM Y2D Morse for $1,400...sold for $1,500 in 2015....new Suhr Custom Modern for $2300...sold for $2300....new 2012 Suhr Custom Modern for $3100....sold for $3000 in 2015.....used 2013 Gibson R8 for $2600, sold for $2800....used 2011 Diezel VH4 for $2400, sold for $2600....used PRS S2 Cu24 for $680, sold for $750...etc. Really lucky, buying and selling as of late.

Best - bought a Soldano decatone for $1100.

Worst - Selling my VH4S for $2400 shipped.

2 Years ago I got a 100 watt Soldano Hot Rod Avenger for 800.00 from GC. The amp was/is mint.

Best!
Framus dragon, fryette deliverance, HKtriamp 1, VHT 2150, engl blackmore all for $800 each. This number follows my great deals.

Put half down payment on axe fx through girlfriend during pre orders from a dealer. There were shipping issues, I waited and waited. No contact no emails returned. Finally I got an email that if I sent the remainder 50 percent it would ship as soon as they cleared some problems up. Seemed odd and I was considering cancelling. Girlfriend shows up at house with the axe fx box that night, never heard from them again card never charged. 50% off axe fx.

Worst.
Luckily Ive only have people renig on deal. No horrible experiences but I research members before dealing with them.

Good!
Bought diezel einstein for $2200, played it live for three years sold it for $2300.
