What's the difference between the MXR M117R delay and EVH

... version of the same pedal other than the EVH switch and the paint scheme? Is it basically the same pedal?

I'm trying to decide whether or not to sell my M117R and buy the EVH, but if the effect is basically the same I'd rather not waste time with it. Anyone here ever compare the two? Thanks.
 
The EVH flanger has a great paint job and a mini switch to engage Eddie's settings for "Unchanined". Overall, I didn't find much of a difference between the regular flanger and the EVH designed one.
 
Hmm ok, thanks. Maybe I should go to guitar center and AB them .... Those puppies are 18V if I remember right.
 
If it wasn't for the instant "I'm eddie" toggle on the EVH, I'd be more inclined, but the M117R plays great as it is. The EVH, model, however, does have TB and the BB circuit design - true bypass, whatever - but BB is where it's at for all the vintage and booteek stomps.
