The scarf joint on one of my Rg570's has shrank over time and caused a back bow at the first fret and slightly at the second fret. Is there an easier solution than shaving the fretboard down? Here are a couple of pics of the action higher up:
Not sure, but it might be possible to clamp the neck straight and apply heat for a while. It might "set" the wood so that it stays straight once unclamped.
Thank you for the suggestion! I'm guessing maybe a couple of strips of wood and some C-clamps? Do you have a suggestion for a heat source? I'm guessing I would need to leave it clamped for several days.
