What's your fav boost/od/distortion pedal?

I just picked up a Tube Zone in a trade, and it sounds killer!!!!!

HAHA! From what I've seen so far, it's everything you could want in an OD pedal. The tone controls are very resposnive, and it has a tone of gain on tap. It'll tighten up your tone while remaining very natural sounding (tube-like if you will...lol).

Can it do more of modern distortion, hard rock type of thing or is more classic rock?

I really like my Cusack Screamer. I haven't had much time with my Plank Cranker, but I really like its versatility so far. I'm looking forward to having more time with it when it comes back from the passaround.

I'd say so. The T.Z. can get pretty heavy. If I ever went the "distortion pedal into a clean amp" route, that would be the pedal I would get. I play mostly rock, but I do like the chugga-chugga's every now and then. I remember some clips Ed D. did a while back that were killer.

The clips do sound good, but then again all Ed's clips sound good, hard to know what the gear will do in a normal person's hands.....
