I haven't tried that many, but, I liked the Maxon CP101 (which I kinda regret selling) and MXR Custom Comp (which I still have and use).

Old skool Boss CS-2. Using that for over 20 years. The Carl Martin Andy Timmons pedal sounds real good also. Just recently started going back and forth with that one as it has two separate channels so you could adjust one for clean and one for dirt. Hard to ditch the CS-2 though.

The Rothwell Love Squeeze is incredible. If you want something that gives the sustain and evening benefits of a compressor without it coloring your base tone or sounding like an effect, it's hard to beat. On the flip side, if you want a comp for an obvious effect or color it gives look elsewhere.

Just went to GC and tried everything. Went home with a Wampler Ego. Seemed right. Squeeze with attack and sounded great.

I have the Wampler Ego Compressor and love it. I've tried a few others, never had a chance to play the tone press, I've heard it's the shiz. I've played CS-2's, for classic country squeeze they're my fav but I think (just personal opinion) they definitely color the tone a smidge.

Keeley 4 knob is another cool one.

I've heard real good things about the Keeley 4 knob too but I ended up going with the Maxon CP9Pro+.

I have a Tone Press that I used for a while and liked a lot. On the block though because I just don't use it anymore.

The Wampler is the other one I have always wanted to try.
