I'm sure this has been asked at one point but what's yours. The one that I still love and I remember this 1st time I heard I thought "how in the hell is he making the guitar do that" Voodoo Child to this day is still just so awesome to hear to me!!

There is a part in the Outro solo of the song Tonight by Ozzy at about 4:47 where Randy does a really tasty run.

Damn, way too many to many to narrow down to one!!! Im going to have to think about this...

Intro to Snortin' Whiskey by Pat Travers

Intro to Nuge's Stranglehold

Countless old Billy Gibbons licks !

The last chorus of Steve Morse's "Simple Simon" where he goes up an octave and throws in the arpeggios.

It looks like some people are substituting riffs for licks which for intents and purposes is pretty much just semantics IMO. If thats the case, I still have way too many to narrow down LOL!!!

Sorry, inappropriate post on my part, did not see the guitar was not covering the nips!!

Mine is the outro in Floods

Oh man that's a good one. That whole album is under-rated. Possibly my favorite.
David Gilmour has a couple licks that will be engraved in my mind forever, as does Cantrell and Vai.

Probably the intro riff to "Life in the Fast Lane" by Mr. Walsh.

Come to think of it, what's the different between a riff and lick, anyhow?

Speaking of Mr. Walsh, how about the lick right at the beginning of Funk #49? Maybe not my fav., but awesome!

To me, a riff is part of the rhythm and licks are part of fills and solos, IE the opening riff to paranoid or Enter Sandman where as a lick would be more like any of EVH's fills in you really got me or any of his tunes...
