Looking at having another Mammoth Custom Strat style built but am considering a trem and not a hard tail. Not really wanting a Floyd.

What's a good stable trem to use when combined with locking tuners on the headstock? Wilkinson?

of all the ones i've tried the PRS one is the best design, it just works really well, i think there's a wilkinson that's very similar

The Gotoh built Wilkinsons are very good. So are the Gotoh 510's that Suhr uses...

The Gotoh Suhr uses.
There's a local company that makes custom guitars. Atomic Guitar Works. If I remember correctly I think they use some sort of two point Schaller that stays in tune. Maybe it's the Gotoh???

I like the Gotoh units as a whole. I've had a few of them in the past and they have worked great, not perfect but close enough!

:)

I'll go along with this but define it as an ABR-1 ;)

Gotoh 510, has excellent vibration transfer for a 2 point bridge. I had a guitar with an earlier bridge and changed to 510 and there was a big difference, 510 was much better sounding. The way the trem bar attaches and has zero wiggle plus tension adjust is excellent as well.

Another vote for Gotoh 510. I have both the 2 post model and the six screw... Both are excellent units. The 6 screw replaced a wilkinson which was a little zingier than the warmer gotoh units.

I have a TremKing on my OLP MM1 and it splits the difference between a floyd and a bigsby. Its pretty cool as its a fixed bridge trem system. It also is very easy to use and requires very little pressure to do dive and pull ups.

I've also heard good things about the super vee, but haven't used one.
