whats your favorite pickup switching option for HSS strat? like the following

1-full bridge series
2-bridge split +middle
3-middle
4-middle +neck
5-neck

Not HSS, but Strat with one humbucker, 4 lead wire

500K volume, 500K tone pots

3 way blade switch + on-off-on micro switch

3 way blade switch:

1 - Tone pot in circuit
2 - kill switch
3 - Tone pot out of circuit

on-off-on micro switch:

1 - series
2 - coil tap
3 - parallel

1.full bridge
2.bridge + middle
3.middle
4.middle+neck
5.neck
Also like a series parallel switch somewhere, and the ability to add bridge or neck to any other pickup.ive tried way more than this, but in a live ,on the go scenario in concert, all the switches and push pulls get to be too much.Ive hit the wrong thing more than once in front of a 5k+ audience stage..lol

One thing that can help getting the top end/snap to balance across positions is to use a Superswitch and use one set of lugs to assign the tone control(s). Often it balances better if you don't have any tone pot connected for positions 2 and 4 ime.

That said a very simple one that I like is:
Bridge
Bridge+middle
Bridge+neck
Neck+middle
Neck

This gives you very Les Paul-correlated tones in positions 1-3-5 and Strat-like approximations in 2-4.

If there are 3 knobs, then Volume/Tone1/Tone2
where Tone 1 works for switch positions 3 and 5
Tone 2 works for position 1 (ie bridge pickup)
Positions 2 and 4 get no tone pot at all.

Two way switch.
Down for the humbucker.
Up for killswitch/mute.
I hate single coils.
Hey...you asked for my favorite.

Bridge+neck
Neck+middle
Neck
This. ^^
I never play the middle alone and rarely play anything but full bridge and full neck, but if I do want something different, that’s the combo I’d go for.

5 way wired for normal switching but with 1 push/pull split vol for the bridge and 1 vol for the neck / mid, 1 master tone.

Is the bridge in series with bridge series and middle, bridge series and neck?

For me, it's:

1- bridge full
2- bridge inner coil + middle (Straty quack)
3- bridge outer coil + neck (Tele twang)
4- middle + neck (Straty cluck)
5- neck

If you do the magnet polarities and wind directions right, 1-4 are all hum-canceling.
