I was thinking of toying around with another dirtbox to use on a Lonestar clean channel. I already have a BB but IMHO it works great on drive channels and puts them over the top. I'm thinking of something that can stand on it's own more on a clean channel.

That Purple PLexi by Lovepedal sounds like it has boat loads of gain. And i remember an Mi-Audio did well on the clean of a Suhr amp.

The Wampler Pinnacle 2 will get a ton of gain if needed and it sounds really good with a clean amp...Van Halenish.
I have a lot of pedals I need to unload and that one is in the won't sell pile for sure.

The Blues Pro gets it going pretty well.

What was that pedal that Pete thorn demod several weeks ago? That sounded awesome.

I'm loving this guy lately  :

If you can afford it, the Suhr Riot or Tonefreak Severe will be great.

On a budget nuthin beats the MI Crunch Box into a clean Ch.

I've found nothing that beats my original Rat pedal when driving a Marshall :2thumbsup:

I haven't tried them all but of the ones I have tried I usually find something to like about them. Some of my faves:

Butler Tube Driver - you can get a feel for it's tones on Timmons' rig demo videos and of course EJ. Classic, IMO.

Maxon SD-9 - with the tone way done, it's a good fat lead tone that still has some TS characteristics.

FDII - lower gain, but cool.

OCD - ampish, open.

Fetto - plexi to 800ish.

SD-1 - everybody know it...

The key to me is that the amp you are hitting can make all the difference. How the EQ is, how close the amp is to clipping on its own, how compressed (or not) it is, etc.

Lovepedal Purplexi is instant Marshall crunch in a box.

good fuzz pedals are cool as hell with clean also.

Did you see Mark's vid of the Tonefreak Severe?
About 3:40, he runs it into the clean channel - sounds killer

RC or AC Booster sounds great. Really digging the Rockbox Boiling Point lately, very versatile pedal!

Hughes & Kettner Warp pedal will get you a nice over the top Marshall tone into a clean amp.
