When did the English language go to shit?

Sorry that my English sucks but who butchered the Euro ? ;)

Real estate is nuts as well! At least up here in Canada.. I see houses going for insane prices and they need to be completely overhauled or are the size of a shoe box. I don't even know how so many people can live in 450-500,000 dollar "family" homes and still afford to have kids. ... oh wait I know.. it is called shitloads of debt and the banks owning our souls. I personally can't justify dropping thousands on a guitar when prices everywhere are on the way up and salaries stay virtually the same.

Of the 20+ amps I have acquired since I joined here (freaking rig talk), only two were bought new. They were the "must have now!" amps. All of the rest were bought used or traded for. In my most recent new amp order, I almost wish I had waited a few months, as the flagship model showed up twice for less than I spent on my order I am waiting on.

As far as the guitars, only the custom one-offs were ordered new. I wouldn't do that anymore, but my preferred brand didn't raise prices on me. And I have all the guitars I want anyway....except for a ken Lawrence.

But if I wanted a les paul, I'd buy used from a bro. Tons of them out there. Same with strats.

I am not surprised that companies have followed the gibson price increase. When your volume drops off, than companies usually have to pay more for the raw material and will pass this plus some on to the customer. It's not like the guitar market is growing.

Tom Andersons prices just went up by about $300.00 list. The way Andersons get discounted a new TA with a quilt top will go for about $3800.00. The guy I used to deal with, who passed away unfortunately , gave me 40% off list on every Anderson I ever bought. Now its nearly double what I used to pay.

You can't criticize a citizen of another country or someone new to this country for improper English. What you should have a problem with are the people born and educated here who have poor language skills, or foreigners who are too proud to learn English and still go around waiving their countries flags.

You can still find Les Pauls for around $1600. You have to look, and wait for the right deal.

You can often find 2013 LP Traditionals for that price...which to me, is the best alternative to buying any other LP ...unless going for a R8 or other Historic.
