You might even be able to push MF to 20% since they recently were offering 20% off any one item. I know that promotion is technically over but it doesn't hurt to reference that recent promotion when asking.

Online chat with MF, push for a discount. Get a quote with the discount, show it to your Sweetwater rep and have him try and at least match it. I doubt Sweetwater cares enough about one sale to give you a better discount than what you'd get at MF, but they could at least match it.

Heard there was a Tremonti signature archon that would be coming out soon. I thought it was gonna be a low wattage amp though and right around $1000

The last low wattage amp I got to use at home ended up being too dang loins thanks to no master volume (rectoverb 25). So I still use my roadster. I'd be curious to see what PRS comes up with for the Tremonti Archon!

Not sure about Mesa and your chances, but I was told the same thing about Royer. The guy said no cant do it. I emailed him the price I was willing to pay. 2 days later he said dealio!

I got my 100 watt Archon from Sweetwater.
My Rep knocked off a bit on what they asked. Said wasnt too much wiggle room. Think I saved $150?

Maybe I'll just be picking up an Archon 100 local instead! Just snapped this at my local dealer. Gonna take my pedal board there tomorrow to see how the loop works out on these guys, as one of the known Archon issues (at least with the early ones) is a noisy loop.

Killer price. I don't have any issues with any of the pedals I use in the loop but mine came from a pretty recent batch. Smart move taking your pedals in to make sure everything checks out because from what I read the early ones did have some pretty bad noise problems.

What Mailman1971 said. I love my Archon, which is why I went after the Custom 50.

Spoke with a new Sweetwater rep and got a new 2x12 vertical Mesa Boogie cab incoming from Sweetwater for 649! They price matched my local dealer without batting an eye!

Congrats! I'm surprised they budged on the Mesa given you would have had to pay sales tax locally. I also thought that they risk losing their right to deal Mesa products if Mesa finds that they sold for less than what Mesa sets the prices at.

Am I nuts that the only reason I haven't bought the Archon 100 yet is that somewhere in my mind I think that 100w may be too much wattage? I know I can drop it to 50w, but if I bought an archon 50 I could drop it to 25w....*sigh* That price though...

The 100w Archon does bedroom volume better even in its 100w setting that any lunch box head I've ever played. I never even bother switching to 50w mode.
