I am looking to pick up a pair and was wondering if any are still made in England or are they all made in China now. Does this even make a difference?

China.

supposedly, it doesn't make a difference.

Consider trying the WGS BL-80.

Thanks for the info.

I had some old G12T-75's 16ohms lying around. I put them up on Craigslist to sell or trade for CL-80's 8ohms and just wound up making the trade within a couple of hours of posting the add.

Just put the CL-80's into the 5150 combo. Tone is much improved to my ears. The high end fizz is much reduced and sounds better at lower volumes also. Now I'm starting to hear the magic of this amp. The distortion is much smoother.

Nice. I am a big CL80 fan for harder rock and metal.

me too.

CL80's are dark and smooth in a good way. They are just what the doctor ordered for a bright cab, a bright room, or a bright amp.

Good job!
