My first loves were the Piano, Violin, and Cello a few years before guitar.
Would go as far to say that the guitar comes after those in my playing interests...
What about y'all? Do you have any other loves? Something odd or a hidden talent?

I got some sweet Hohner Chromatic and Echo harps and no I'm not posting clips.

Guitar has consistently been my main non-work endeavor, but I have a few others that have stuck...

Hiking & backpacking is the real big one for me. Living near the NC/TN mountains, I've always been a casual hiker. The past few years though, I've really made the effort to fly out west and do a couple of big (6-8 day) hikes every year, covering anywhere from 40-80 miles typically. Getting to see the Thorofare in Yellowstone a couple of years back was probably my favorite trip to date, but I've had some bucket list experiences in the backcountry. I always bring my Sony mirrorless, but the photography takes a back seat to everything else, more or less.

I dabble with with motorcycles, but I'm certainly not the 'ride to live type' I currently have a 20 year old softail, that I ride maybe 5-600 miles/year. I've had dirt bikes, ATV's, sport bikes, Japanese & US built. Never got into anything European but I like them all. I've learned to limit myself to owning only one, I don't have the time & patience to keep up with a garage full of bikes.

I'm trying to say no to anymore money-pit hobbies. As it is, I could certainly retire a lot sooner without the ones I have. At least guitar gear typically retains some value.

Define “play”. I put down keyboard, because I have one, I wouldn’t say I can “play” it though. More “use” it to help songwriting.

Well, I played the flute in middle school, but didn't select it because I don't play/adept at it anymore. Up to you. I feel like the piano is one of the best writing tools, tbh, so have at it!

Music, motorcycles, sailing.

For music my favorite instrument is organ, especially pipe organ.

I just want one of these Williams doubleneck 12 strings but can't afford it. I had an MSA S10 for a while but one knee lever wasn't cutting it.

If I had the money (I'd have to sell nearly all my music gear, and then some) and the space, my ultimate musical instrument would be an Allen TO-5X in piano black:

to do it right, these include a custom multizone amplification and speaker system designed for your space where the organ will be installed.

Five manuals? :love:Yeah that would be epic. That looks amazing. So these are available in black eh? I think that would be a bit classier than the wood grain.

Are those the ones they use at ball games?

I have a custom shop Fisher-Price xylophone. Only rare folks with connections can place orders from their custom shop. It’s fine tuned to my specifications. The frame is made from gopher wood found from what is believed to be the location of Noah’s ark. Keeping the ocean theme, The metal pieces are refurbished pieces from the Titanic I had procured through some other special connections. The actual drumsticks are what come with the set you can buy from Walmart but I found they really have the tone and attack I like so no need for further expense. I am thinking of attaching a reverse James Tyler headstock to it for aesthetics just to make @VonBonfire jealous.
