Where is Jake E Lee now?

he can do what he want.......if he just wants to keep his chops together and play with friends in bars thats fine.....he obviously isnt in Competition with Anything or Anyone.....WE ALL know hes Jake E Lee and done Bark At The Moon.........(hes done it)

Someone asked about Jake on Eddie Trunk's show on Sirius. Eddie just said Jake was a recluse and did not like to do any press. He said he had a new band and lived in Vegas. Eddie said that he was going out there and he would try to track him down and get some isea of what's going on.

I'll be out there in about three weeks and I'd love to see him play, no matter what the band. Jake is still Jake and I'm sure he could still rip. At least he is still playing, which is a good sign.

A few months ago I was in Vegas and stopped in at Cowtown Guitars (very cool place) and they just sold one of Jake's Marshall Majors. Sorry I missed plugging into that one.
 
I'll be honest...I love his work with Ozzy, but Badlands takes the cake for me... :rock:
 
I guess no one is gonna pipe in and and throw an apology out for the false accusations that were made in this thread.....right? Oh well...its just the internet...... where you can fuckin say whatever you want about people you don't know and have never met.......wtf? :confused:

If I was a "recluse", the last place I would be is Vegas :confused:
 
I'm in Vegas and always looking for shows and such. The advertisement for the Texas Station thing must not have been very good cause I would have seen it and trust me, there would have been way more than 25 people there! Dont know how true this is but, I took a lesson from a guy who said he jams with him all the time. This was the first I heard of Jake being in Vegas. Man, would I love to see him live in a little venue here.

Make sure you have the original version of BATM and not the "remix" where they fucked up some of his solos.
 
Well i spent the last hour reading every message on this thread, and still have no closure.

Does anyone have any updates about Jake in the last year or so ?
 
I will be in Vegas December 5-9. Anyone know if Jake is playing out any of those days?

I will have lots of free time. Anything else I should do besides visit Ed R's shop?
 
Jake pops up every now and then. He was/is a car nut, lives/lived in Vegas. His daughter (Jade) is living in Salem, Oregon, working as a hairdresser(?). Jake put out "A Fine Pink Mist" (solo album) eons ago, then a covers album not too, too long ago (not well received). He did some tracks with Enuff Z'Nuff (2008? 2009?), and more recently (mid/late 2011) with a band called "3 Day Crush" (see below; pretty *famous* line-up actually). There was an interview with him in.. Guitar World(?) back in 2010, but no luck finding it. A guy had created a site (http://www.jakeelee.com) that had pretty regular bits, but has been *dark* for some time.

He still has that signature style of playing his rythms and vibrato on the leads. That is only crappy video cam and it sounds nice and crunchy and not excessively buzzy. What is his amp setup looking like these days (or during the vid)

There are actually plenty of fat meth heads. They did a special on meth on HBO a while back and I was shocked at how many of them were fat considering the stereotype and what you'd expect with a speed-type drug...

This is a message I got in October from someone close to Jake. I cannot verify the accuracy of the statements. Take it for what it's worth;

Jake is "Teaming up with Tatoo Frank...again. Frank was recently at Freebirds @ Jacksonville Beach. You may remember the did a Cure cover before. Jake just laid down the music and Frank did vocals so they never met before. Also, think Michael D. on drums. He use to be with Joan Jett. Working with a report @ Metal Sucks so will be going public soon."
 
Huh. Sidney (Tasha, drums/vocals) has been tweeting to other bands/musicians trying to line up gigs for 3 Day Crush, the band Jake is in now. Then again, she is in 3-4 bands, so who knows what is up. Just wish he would get something going and record a proper album.
