where is V1?

is the tube on top of the input jack in front of the trasformer?

Close to the input jack

yeah I think it is. It is the CLOSEST little tube to the input jack side of the amp.

i have tested to change v3 and v4 with new tung sol and tesla old tubes but the suond change very little
in v1 the sound don't change
preamp tubes change was irrilevant but is fun to try

Really? If I put a tung sol in v1 vs a ruby hg+ the amp is much less bright. I actually prefer it that way because my guitar is a bit on the bright side.

in v1 i have unmarked tubes...looks like shuguang
suond change a bit: v3 tungsol v4 tesla
high are a bit smoother...little difference
