Finally ordered a 9mm handgun (Canik) and now need to get some decent practice/range rounds. I saw Winchester 124gr 9mm for 50-55 cents a round on gunbroker. Should those be decent?
If you run steel case in your ar's, throw a few brass ones in at the end of each mag to clean them out. Trust me. Steel is fine for AK's and SKS's...not optimal for AR's...ymmv...
No. There may be slightly less felt recoil from a 115gr round but I doubt it. Breaking in a gun is more about quantity of rounds sent through it and depending on the type of gun, it may not need much.
The German 9MMs I own all seem to suggest heavier loads to break the RSA in before expecting reliable cycling. I pretty much run 124 gr. in everything anyway so I can't really say if it was necessary or not.
