Which amp was your most disappointing purchase?

So which amp were you looking so forward to getting but from the minute you flipped on the switch it just flat out sucked? For me it would it would be the JVM410H. I know allot of guys really dig this amp but it didn't work for me at all.

Mesa Lonestar. Clips are killer. I hated it.

I wouldn't say it sucked, and I'll probably take some heat for this but I was disappointed with the Bogner Shiva head I had. Just couldn't get the crunch I needed out of that amp. Still was somewhat fun to play but couldn't justify keeping so I sold it rather quickly.

Marshall TSL602--Simply an epic fail.
Peavey Windsor--Had SO much potential to be a budget Plexi clone and just came up short. A Crate V5 into a 4 x 12 had more tone.

I haven't really found THE one amp that does it for me. So, in order of most disliked to more liked:

1) EVH 5150 III ( I think I just got a lemon)
2) MESA Roadking (sold)
3) MESA Triple Rec (sold)
4) JSX
5) MESA MK4
5) Bogner XTC ( I think this one is not up to snuff with other XTCs I've played)
6) MESA Lonestar ( Not ideal, however, it sounds decent with a good OD)

isp theta head. thank god i got it at cost. i love the isp decimator and sub i had scored. as i looked at the theta head more and more, i was convinced it was the future of solid state amps. sounded so bad, i am sure to this day i got a lemon.

even loaned it to a tone freak friend that can get a good sound out of any amp. no joy.

Mesa Boogie F-50 COMBO.. clean channel was pretty cool, switching over to the overdrive was like a turd of angry bees for me and the EQ didn't do diddly squat. Hooking it up to a bigger cab helped but still not the amp for me. OD into the clean channel was pretty cool though.

I guess the one that didn't quite pan out is that Vox issue of Brian May's Deacy amp.

I bought the hype of the Roadster. The clean channels were great, but I just did not care for either OD channel
