which amps can get this sound?

The first 1:15 of this clip is a thick, saturated and tight sound that is in the territory that I am looking for. Aside from this amp with this mod, are there any others that come to mind for this type of sound, perhaps with a nice clean channel, as well?

I have tried some ENGLS (Powerball, Fireball, but not the SE) and they were a little sterile for my taste, but certainly in the general neighborhood of tone that I'm looking for. Since you also have the CCV and Hagen, which are clearly higher end amps than the JCA100HDM... where does this kind of sound intersect with those amps, if it all? This seems like the fatter, dirtier end of the Soldano spectrum... not sure if there are other amps that overlap. The closest thing that I have played has been a Herbert.

Zach from Titan did the mod on that amp. Why don't you look at getting amp from him? I ordered one and he is willing to help customers out in term of getting the tone they want. Check out the Custom 100 or the Cerberus that he makes.

Engls may not be everyones cup of tea, but the SE is head an shoulders above the two you mentioned. It actually sounds like a tube amp You mentioned the Herbert....I owned one and a/b ed it against the SE and they sounded alot alike. I actually preferred the SE soundwise. The CCV and Hagen can be dialed in "thick", but the compression in the SE sound gets it to sound "thicker". Hope that helps
