i was looking at upgrading my flying v's pickups and i really want a set of BKP but i don't know which set to get. the flying v is mahogany and goes into an OCD overdrive then into my mesa mark iv. I play everything from zeppelin to bring me the horizon, i was looking at either the nailbomb or war pig calibrated sets. would either one of these sets suit my need? any info will be greatly appreciated. thanks!

The war pig is a very high output. I would think it would be a bit much for the type of music you play. So from your list Id say the Nailbomb. The Holy DIver would be a great pup for you too.

the holy diver would probably handle clean tones better then the nailbomb to right?

I would think. Ive never heard the 2 together though. The HD is a medium output pup.

I've got a Nailbomb bridge, Mississippi Queen neck, and the cleans are awesome with the 3 position switch in the middle.

it's very high output only on the sheet, in practice nailbomb & warpig have the same output, all that extra output goes to power the low end.

I own more than ten BKPs, and I would recommend an Emerald for the bridge and a VHII for the neck. The Emerald is very crunchy and has high output, but it is not thin on the higher notes, very thick actually. It would do well for Zep but also for Metallica or heavier styles. VHII is a great allrounder for the neck and sounds very clean and articulate, it can do pretty much anything.

Alternatively you could also get a VHII in the bridge, but it is not very hot.

as much as I love the holy diver, I don't think I'd put it in a mahogany V
you can join BKP forum and ask for gwEm's help
that guy had most of BK humbuckers in flying V guitars
